I was four years old the first time I remember knowing something before I saw it — lying on a single bed in my grandmother's house, George Michael on vinyl, my sisters around me on the floor and the couch. A sweet landed on my foot. I knew its colour before I looked. Then another. And another. Four sweets, four colours, all named before my eyes ever confirmed them. My sisters thought they were playing a game with me. I was already playing one with myself — quietly learning to trust what I knew before I could explain how I knew it.

That knowing never left. It came in dreams I couldn't wake from until someone's touch pulled me back into my body. In words that came true the next day. In a pregnancy at sixteen where every scan said healthy, yet every night I wept for a baby I somehow already knew I would only hold for twenty-one hours. In my uncle appearing to me at midnight in his favourite red t-shirt, telling me to come home — hours before I learned his heart had stopped, at thirty-seven, at that very hour. In visitors I dreamed of before they knocked. In a single beam of light between my eyes, during a stranger's prayer, that I couldn't explain but never doubted.

For years I asked the same questions we all ask in the dark — who am I, why am I here, is this all there is — especially in the seasons of heartbreak, self-doubt, and feeling unworthy of love. I searched outside for answers that had been waiting inside me all along. My first marriage cracked something open — a tarot video I opened to prove I wasn't hurting told me, card for card, exactly what had just been said between us. That began my own deck, my own intuition, readings for the people I loved.

But it was the end of my second marriage — the heartbreak of it, the betrayal of it — that finally broke me open completely, and pushed me all the way into my soul's mission 🙏. Not gently. But fully.
